Under Armour stock being punished. we’ve got a sleezy company here. New uniform is an underwhelming cheesy cash grab. we should follow the PSU and Alabama approach. Mixing makes us look like circus clowns out there. They sure make a good looking ND Polo shirt #Rushfromthechristmastree2thegarbagecan.
I would still love us to get a shot at Alabama…if you like watching Mall Cops vs. Seals. There isn’t a soul in the world who believes they’d see anything but a repeat of the complete wipeout in 2013. we are not in Bama’s league especially our coaches. Bama is taught to physically dominate their opponents. ND is taught Basketball on Grass. We will be lucky if Clemson does not embarrass us the way they did OSU a few years back.
Everybody can keep drinking the Kool Aid. I’m not even close to going as far as crowning anything that has gone on this year as any different than the movies we’ve seen before. Clemson will inflict more pain on our offense than Alabama did back in 2013.
A good showing will most certainly embolden the Swarbrick and the Pete Sampsons who won’t hesitate to take their victory laps with their own “I told yous” about their elite coach. Many of us will have to channel our inner Wimbush. I won’t be shouting “I told you so,” but I think Clemson is going to win easily.
I just can’t get excited for the playoffs. I feel no impulse to sway in unison with discordant groups of ND fans. The stuff that has been said about this site and people here doesn’t wash away because ND football is back.
Kelly named Home Depot coach of the year. Bet that got him some wood. He’s updating his resume as I write this. IF IF we win that National Title. What will we all want to do with Kelly ? Retain him or rid him to pasture ? We have all be critical of this man. many schools will be knocking on the door. So what does this board think of letting the door kick him square in the ass. Ummmmmmmm Urban is again available.
After the vacated wins caused by ND players’ cheating, I made a promise that I would not donate to ND nor go to any ND football games until Kelly was gone. I’ve kept that. win something, Mr. Purple, and then you can join the pantheon, go to Cleveland, I don’t give a fuck. Kelly won’t deserve credit for anything. Get his meathead agent in touch with the NFL. There are crappy franchises that possibly would go after him. We can only hope.
This year is more like a collection of pleasant surprises and comebacks belying a fear of impending doom. Like a high-wire walk, he made it across the chasm, but he always looked to be a step away from collapsing into a face-plant on the pavement.
Dear Kyle – Recommended viewing. You really need to quit emoting all the time over human interest stuff. This ain’t Oprah. Learn the value of a feeling kept to yourself. you can’t spell Across without an ass.
